The Landshut Wedding 1475 (Landshuter Hochzeit) in Landshut, Bavaria, is one of Europe's largest historical festivals. Every four years the old town re-enacts the lavish 1475 marriage of Duke George the Rich and the Polish princess Hedwig, with more than 2,000 costumed participants bringing the late Middle Ages back to life over three weeks.
